While he didn’t score, Morgan Rogers enjoyed an equally productive outing, picking up three assists and playing a huge role in another goal in a mad second half.

The England international linked up brilliantly with Palmer for his first assist, before putting in a strong challenge in the final third to set up Neto.

Brilliant work down the right wing allowed Rogers to drill in a low cross which Barco converted, and he will be delighted with his personal performance at Stamford Bridge.

The attacker even joked with Palmer after the game that he should have been handed the player of the match award for his performance, although his best friend was the one who walked away with the trophy.

Rogers could force Jamie Gittens out of Chelsea

Rogers has enjoyed a fantastic start to life since becoming the club’s record signing, and has added both goals and assists to go alongside it too.

He has two goals and four assists since joining the club, numbers which the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens can seemingly only dream of.

The Englishman’s brilliance has come at the worst possible time for the likes of Gittens, who started tonight but struggled to make any form of impact on proceedings.

He is only going to find opportunities harder to come by this season with the brilliance of Rogers, which could see him evaluate his options for a move away.

It has been reported that Gittens asked to leave the club over the summer, and those demands will surely not be set to change anytime soon.
