Jordan Henderson makes Chelsea history at 36 years old
Jordan Henderson just delivered a timeless performance for Chelsea.
Brought in over the summer following midfield injuries to Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Jordan Henderson was initially signed to provide depth and leadership under Xabi Alonso.
But against Bournemouth, he stole the show. He set up a goal and netted one himself inside the first two minutes and 29 seconds, the fastest goal and assist combination in the Premier League since 1998.
He then capped off his masterclass by curling a 30-yard free-kick into the top corner, sealing a 5-1 thrashing and proving he’s still got plenty left in the tank.
